1) Am I the only one who's really sick of the seemingly constant 'Alice in Wonderland' remakes/retellings/spoofs? I know the story is public domain and all, but
sheesh. When it's not remakes contributing to the creative bankruptcy of Hollywood and the comic book medium (I can't stand that T&A horseshit from Zenescope. Newsflash: the 'edgy' bad grrl stuff is so 90's), we've got people retelling the same story over and over again. Besides Tim Burton... goth*Alice has been done before. Ever play American McGee's Alice?
I mean, if you're going to retell/reimagine a public domain story, do something else besides Alice OR Wizard of Oz for a change, at least.
(Man, it felt so good to get that off of my chest)
2) On a lighter note, I'm feeling inclined to play Blood Omen again. I don't know if my PS2 will actually run the game, but it's worth a shot, at least. If not, maybe I'll replay Defiance or something.
3) I forgot to mention this, but my bro rented Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 not that long ago. In between the Dragon Age hype and school, I completely forgot about it. Maybe once I get close to being done with getting achievements in DAO, I'll give it a try.
EDIT: Just so I'm not spamming LJ all day...
4) I'm going to try and make it into my FoodSci class this afternoon, at least. I'm not super sick or anything, but it's just enough so that I feel really groggy and out of it. The class is only an hour, so I don't think it would hurt to at least go to that one.
5) Star Wars Celebration 5... in Orlando.
Augh.
No thanks. At least this'll free up money so I can
hopefully go on my Vancouver vacation next summer.
